Weekly summer mentorship classes helping students build confidence, leadership, career awareness, and real-world life skills.
The Motown Mercy Mentorship Program is a summer weekly class program created in partnership with Pontiac School District in Oakland County. Through a structured curriculum, the program helps students build confidence, leadership skills, career awareness, and real-world life skills.
Each summer, Motown Mercy mentors work with students through interactive lessons, group activities, discussions, and projects that encourage them to think about who they are, who they want to become, and how they can make a positive impact in their community.
Our curriculum is designed to develop the whole student — building character, skills, and confidence for life beyond the classroom.
Students practice sharing their thoughts, speaking about themselves, and building confidence in who they are.
Students learn how to work with others, lead by example, and contribute positively to a group.
Students explore future career paths and begin thinking about their goals, interests, and strengths.
Students build communication skills through short presentations, group sharing, and guided activities.
Students are introduced to basic money concepts, smart decision-making, and future planning.
Students learn how ideas become projects, how to solve problems creatively, and how to think like young leaders.
Students learn the importance of giving back and becoming positive changemakers in their community.
Our mentorship program is built around a weekly curriculum that gives students a clear path for growth throughout the summer. Each session includes a lesson, discussion, activity, and reflection component so students are not just listening — they are actively participating.

Through consistent weekly mentorship, Motown Mercy gives students a supportive environment where they can build confidence, learn practical skills, and feel seen, valued, and capable.
Motown Mercy is open to partnering with schools, youth programs, and community organizations that want to bring structured mentorship, leadership development, and life skills programming to students.
