A 501(c)(3) nonprofit driven by mercy and powered by Detroit
Motown Mercy was born from a simple yet powerful belief: that compassion, when combined with action, can transform communities. Founded in Detroit, our organization stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of this great city and the unlimited potential of its people.
What started as a small group of volunteers committed to making a difference has grown into a movement of mercy that reaches thousands across Metro Detroit. We believe in meeting people where they are — whether that's providing school supplies to a student, a warm meal to someone experiencing homelessness, or mentorship to a young person seeking guidance.
Our name reflects our mission: "Motown" honors the city that inspires us every day, while "Mercy" represents the compassion that drives every action we take. Together, we are building a Detroit where everyone has the support they need to thrive.

Motown Mercy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Metro Detroit by supporting students, families, schools, homeless individuals, and underserved community members through volunteer service, donations, tutoring, school supplies, meals, clothing, toy drives, and community outreach.
